DIEGO DE See also:ALMAGRO (1475-1538) , See also:Spanish See also:commander, the See also:companion and See also:rival of See also:Pizarro (q.v.), was See also:born at Aldea del Rey in 1475 . According to another See also:account he was a foundling in the See also:village from which he derived his name . In 1525 he joined Pizarro and Hernando de Luque at See also:Panama in a See also:scheme for the See also:conquest of See also:Peru (see PERU: See also:History) . He was executed by See also:order of Pizarro in 1538 in consequence of a dispute as to their respective territories . |
