Her son and successor, GILBERT HENRY HEATHCOTE-DRUMMOND-WILLOUGHBY (b . 1830), 23rd Baron Willoughby de Eresby, and joint hereditary lord great chamber-lain, was created earl of Ancaster in 1898 .
