It was a favourite See also:residence of the See also:emperor See also:Frederick II., whose second and third wives, Iolanthe and See also:Isabella of See also:England, were buried in the See also:cathedral dedicated to St See also:Richard, who is believed to have come from England in 492; their tombs, however, no longer exist . There are several other See also:fine churches of the 13th See also:century . The See also:Castel del See also:Monte, 91 m . S. of Andria, was constructed by Frederick IL, who frequently resided here; it is an octagonal See also:building in two storeys with octagonal towers at each See also:angle, and was further surrounded by three See also:outer walls .
