DOMINIQUE See also:ANEL (1679-1730) , See also:French surgeon, was See also:born at See also:Toulouse about 1679 . After studying at See also:Montpellier and See also:Paris, he served as surgeon-See also:major in the French See also:army in See also:Alsace; then after two years at See also:Vienna he went to See also:Italy and served in the See also:Austrian army . In 1710 he was teaching See also:surgery in See also:Rouen, whence he went to See also:Genoa, and in 1716 he was practising in Paris . He died about 1730 . He was celebrated for his successful surgical treatment of See also:fistula leerymalis, and while at Genoa invented for use in connexion with the operation the See also:fine-pointed See also:syringe still known by his name . |
