town of See also:Germany, in the See also:kingdom of See also:Prussia, on the See also:left See also:bank of the See also:Elbe, 82 m . S.W. of See also:Berlin on the See also:direct railway to See also:Cassel . Pop . (1900) 5136 . It has two evangelical churches and a See also:seminary for school teachers, which is housed in the former See also:castle of the lords of Barby . The See also:industries are mainly agricultural, but there are See also:sugar factories and breweries . Here from 1749 to 1809 was a See also:settlement of the See also:Herrnhut evangelical brotherhood .
