BARR, a town of Germany, in the imperial province of Alsace-Lorraine, on the Kirneck, 13 M. N. from Schlettstadt by rail. It has an Evangelical and a Roman Catholic church and consider-able tanneries. There is an active trade in wine and timber. Pop. (1900) 5243.
