She remained in See also:England, a prima donna without a serious See also:rival, for seven years . Then she was given the management of the opera in See also:Paris, but this resulted in See also:financial failure, owing to the incapacity and extravagance of her See also:husband, See also:Captain Valabregue, whom she married in 18o6 . But her See also:continental See also:tours continued to be enormously successful, until she retired in 1828 . She settled at See also:Florence in 183o, where she founded a See also:free singing school for girls; and her charity and kindness were unbounded . She died of See also:cholera in Paris on the 12th of See also:June 1849 .
