Kirchentag

A conference of the German laity for the discussion of religious, political, social, and ecumenical questions. For the Catholic Church it is the Deutscher Katholikentag (since 1848 under the title Generalversammlung der Katholiken Deutschlands, taking place bi-annually since 1950), and for the Protestant Church the Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag (since 1950). Both events alternate every year.
