Kit-cat Portrait
A life-size half-length portrait painted on a canvas 36 × 28 in (c.90 × 70 cm). The term derives from Kneller's series of portraits painted c.1700–17 of the members of the Kit-Cat Club in London (now in the National Portrait Gallery).
