Kirchhoff's Laws
Laws applying to direct current theory, stated by German physicist Gustav Kirchhoff in 1846. At any point where three or more components join, the total current into the junction is zero; and, for a closed circuit loop, the sum of all potential differences around the loop is zero. Useful in circuit analysis, the laws are the direct consequences of charge and energy conservation.
