His novels combine the characteristic elements of the nouveau roman and magical realism, and attempt to explore external landscapes and situations as internal realities, tracing the imprint of concrete things in search of their spiritual essence. All works deal with travel, departures into the unknown, where change occurs and reality is rewritten. As he investigate locations and time-levels, his style varies between adventure story, erotic text, and philosophical reflection.
