Clement (Melville) Keys Biography (1876–1952)

Journalist, financier, and aviation executive, born in Chatsworth, Ontario, Canada. His financial and organizational skills boosted the development of modern airline corporations such as Trans World Airlines. He moved to New York to work for the Wall Street Journal (1901–6) and eventually founded North American Aviation (1928), a holding company that assisted in the creation of Curtiss-Wright (1929) from the two greatest pioneering names in aviation.
