Clodion Biography (1738–1814) (pseudonym of Claude Michel)
Sculptor, born in Nancy, NE France. He was trained in Paris and Rome, where he stayed from 1762 to 1771. One of the most brilliant Rococo sculptors, he specialized in small terracottas and low reliefs of dancing nymphs and satyrs, unmistakably erotic.
