Club Foot

A congenital deformity of one or both feet, in which the child cannot stand on the sole of the affected foot (technically called talipes [talipeez]). The sole of the foot is turned inwards. The deformity is readily seen at birth, and cannot be manipulated, but improvement may be achieved by the application of a series of graded splints, or in severe cases by surgical operation.
