Climbing Perch
Asiatic freshwater fish common in rivers, canals, and lakes; body length up to 25 cm/10 in; possesses special respiratory organ above gills for air breathing; able to move overland by jerky thrusts of tail fin; good food fish. (3 genera, including Ariabas. Family: Anabantidae.)
