Cleveland Bay

One of the oldest English breeds of horse; height, 15–16 hands/1·5–1·6 m/5–5 ft 4 in; reddish-brown with long body, shortish legs, muscular hindquarters; also known as the Chapman horse. Crossing with thoroughbreds in the 18th-c produced the rare Yorkshire coach horse.
