Princess, born in Turin, Piedmont, NW Italy, the daughter of Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Sardinia and Maria Adelaide. She was given in marriage to Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte, to strengthen the alliance between France and Piedmont, as agreed at Plombières.
