At the former he gathered a See also:company of players, headed by See also:Miss Ada See also:Rehan, which made for it a high reputation, and for them he adapted plays from See also:foreign See also:sources, and revived Shakespearean comedies in a manner before unknown in See also:America

He took his entire company on tour, visiting See also:England, See also:Germany and See also:France, and some of the best actors on the American See also:stage have owed their training and first successes to him
