yet some dard people probablly in the 11th century migrated from gilgit to ladakh and kargil . They living there in places like DRASS,KARKIT(BADGAM) DAH HANU ,GARKONE And KARGIL. ACcording the ancient history of kargil ..the people who started human life were THE DARDS.. THrourh this point we can say that kargil was also a part of DARDISTAN..
Darda's had also participated in the Kuruksherta war between the kauravas and pandavas.The Kuruksherta war is one of the digest war in Hindu religion..
