EDWARD OLIVER WOLCOTT (1848-1905), a member of the same family,went to Colorado, became interested in silver mining there, was a U.S. Senator in 1889-19o1, and was a prominent Republican bimetallist. See William Lawrence, Roger Wolcott [1847–1901] (Boston, 1902), and for all the family, Samuel Wolcott, Memorial of Henry Wolcott, one of the first Settlers of Windsor, Connecticut, and of some of his Descendants (New York, 1881).
