FONSAGRADA, a town of north-western Spain, in the province of Lugo; 25 M. E.N.E. of Lugo by road. Pop. (1900) 17,302. Fonsagrada is situated 3166 ft. above the sea, on the watershed between the rivers Rodil and Suarna. It is an important market for all kinds of agricultural produce, and manufactures linen and frieze; but its trade is mainly local, owing to the mountainous 1 For the pass of Ad Lautulas see TERRACINA.character of the neighbourhood, and the lack of a railway or navigable waterway, which prevent the development of any considerable export trade.
