HALA, or HALLA (formerly known as Murtazabad ), a town of British India in Hyderabad district, Sind. Pop. Not) 4985. It has long been famous for its glazed pottery and tiles, made from a fine clay obtained from the Indus, mixed with powdered flints. The town has also a manufacture of susis or striped trouser-cloths.

I have a beautiful 7 piece set of "swan's". I believe they are candy dishes. Not much for marking on the bottom but Halla. These are truly stunning items for show or use. ANYONE out there with knowledge I would appreciate. thank you Joe
