HANSI, a town of British India, in the Hissar district of the Punjab, on a branch of the Western Jumna canal, with a station on the Rewari-Ferozepore railway, 16 m. E. of Hissar. Pop. (1901) 16,523. Hansi is one of the most ancient towns in northern India, the former capital of the tract called Hariana. At the end of the r8th century it was the headquarters of the famous Irish adventurer George Thomas; from 1803 to 1857 it was a British cantonment, and it became the scene of a murderous outbreak during the Mutiny. A ruined fort overlooks the town, which is still surrounded by a high brick wall, with bastions and loop holes. It is a centre of local trade, with factories for ginning and pressing cotton.

Shri Randhir Singh Jain S/o Shri pratap Singh Jain has served as Chairman of Muncipal Corporation of hansi for 25 years.
Lala Randhir Singh Jain was born on 17th July 1914 as an elder son of Sh.Pratap Singh Jain. He belongs to the family of SHAHID HUKAM CHAND JI JAIN (42 years) and SHAHID FAKIR CHAND JI JAIN (13 years) who were hanged till death along with MIRZA MUNIR BEG by the britishers on 19th January 1858 at Hansi for there movement to free India. BAHADUR SHAH ZAFAR has awarded the title "KANUNGO" to ancestors of Shri Randhir Singh Jain. Lala Randhir Singh Jain Died on 22nd May 2003 at Delhi.
Late Lala Pratap singh Jain had two sons, late Randhir singh jain late mohinder singh jain & two daughters late smt. mahadavi jain & only alive younger daughter smt maya devi jain residing at More Gate, Delhi , India. pl. add all this information. thanks
