Covington and near the N.W. border of the state . It lies in a narrow valley, about 2200-2500 ft. above the sea, with rugged mountains on either side . Pop. of the district (190o) 1761; (1910) 2472 . The mean summer temperature is only 69° F., and the summer nights are always cool . There is a good golf-course .
