KLAMATH, a small tribe of North American Indians of Lutuamian stock. They ranged around the Klamath river and lakes, and are now on the Klamath reservation, southern Oregon. See A. S. Gatschet, " Klamath Indians of Oregon," Contributions to North American Ethnology, vol. ii. (Washington, 1890).
