KORA, or CORA, an ancient town of Northern India, in the Fatehpur district of the United Provinces. Pop. (rgoi), 2806. As the capital of a Mahommedan province, it gave its name to part of the tract (with Allahabad) granted by Lord Clive to the titular Mogul emperor, Shah Alam, in 1765.
