PETROPOLIS  , a

city of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in an elevated valley of the Serra de Estrella, 2634 ft. above sea-level and 27 m . N. of the city of Rio de Janeiro, with which it is connected by a combined railway and steamship
