He then lived for some years in See also:London, being engaged in business and See also:literary See also:work, and was appointed to serve on various royal commissions . He married in 1864 . In 1868 he was elected See also:Drummond See also:professor of political See also:economy at Oxford, and was thrice re-elected to the See also:post, which he held till his See also:death . In 1883 he was elected an honorary See also:fellow of his college . In addition to his professorial work, he was in much See also:request as a popular lecturer on political economy . He died in London on the 8th of See also:January 1888 . His See also:principal publications, exclusive of See also:pamphlets, were: The Principles of Currency (1869), Currency and Banking (1876), Chapters on See also:Practical Political Economy (1878) . |
