Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall is a southwestern themed hotel and casino that is located on the historic Boulder Strip of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall first opened its doors to the public in 1979 and was one of the first large scale casinos that Las Vegas had to offer. Sam’s Town underwent complete renovations in 2000, and they now offer guests nearly 200,000 square feet of gaming space and 646 fully equipped luxury hotel rooms. Sam’s Town is known throughout the country for their commitment to providing excellent guest services, as well as their sponsorship of the Sam’s Town Nascar Race.

In addition to the casino and hotel accommodations, Sam’s Town is also known for its massive glass atrium. The main building of the hotel has a glass roof letting in plenty of ambient light for a series of well manicured live trees and other vegetation, as well as large rock waterfall that serves as a sort of centerpiece to the atrium. The staff of Sam’s Town regularly perform a laser light show in the evening hours with the waterfall as a backdrop.

In terms of gaming, Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall has all of the favorite games that people travel to Las Vegas to play. The casino consists of three separate levels with areas dedicated to each of the most popular games, including a large poker room, a bingo hall, a race and sports book and plenty of slot machines. There are daily limit and no-limit Texas Hold ’Em tournaments in the poker room, as well as poker tables for ring games of all of the leading poker games with low to medium stakes. The race and sports book features 60 large televisions streaming sporting events and races from all over the world in a very comfortable setting with free cocktails and a full service snack bar. The bingo parlor is located on the second level and holds eight daily games of bingo from 9am until midnight.

For entertainment and other accommodations, Sam’s Town offers plenty to see and do outside of gambling. There are nearly always good rock and jazz bands livening things up in the hotel’s Roxy Lounge, while a wide range of Las Vegas headliners come to perform on Sam’s Town’s main stage. The regular laser light show is known as the Sunset Stampede and consists of eight minutes of lasers, water and animatronic animals that perform to an original score performed by the Indianapolis Philharmonic Orchestra. Sam’s Town also has an 18-screen movie theater feature all of the latest titles and a 56-lane bowling alley that is open all night. Guests can take a break at the swimming pool or the Jon ’Ric International salon, and there is a free shuttle that can take guests downtown any time.
