Most people think of bed and breakfasts as quaint homes with a few bedrooms opened for public use. Small and not very high quality is the image that often comes to mind. Not in San Antonio!

Noble Inns of San Antonio, TX, restored three historic homes and opened them as bed and breakfasts. These Inns are located in the King William’s historic District. They are The Carriage House, The Jackson House and The Ogé House Inn on the Riverwalk. Each historic home maintained its original, distinct personality though it provides modern luxury, technology, and the hospitality for which Southern Texas is famous.

Both business and vacation travelers will find these unique inns perfect places to stay. They’re located near San Antonio’s many attractions and positioned in neighborhoods of unusual charm. Facilities include swimming pools, spas, and gorgeous garden areas. These bed and breakfast inns provide a special, fine quality experience for individuals or families. Those interested in history and architecture stroll past restored mansions heading to one of San Antonio’s shops, galleries, or restaurants.

The 1896 Carriage House, situated behind the original owner’s home, makes a secluded retreat. Landscaped with a majestic pecan tree dating from 1900, this bed and breakfast contains three large suites. It is the perfect place for a quiet honeymoon, a restful vacation or small groups renting the entire inn. The expanded continental breakfast consists of sweet pastries, breads, seasonal fruit, cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. A private patio near a fountain, and a separate private garden enhance the swimming pool and heated spa.

The Ogé House bed and breakfast was constructed in 1857. Expanded by Texas rancher Louis Ogé, this exquisite neoclassical building is placed on 1.5 acres and overlooks the famous Riverwalk. Step backward into another century, a slow-paced time of gazebos, lawn gardens, and expansive verandas offering relaxation and reflection. The Ogé House Inn has ten guest rooms on three floors, each decorated with era appropriate antiques from America and Europe.

An exquisite, Victorian built bed and breakfast inn, The Jackson House offers a stay within another era, but with the comfort and convenience of modern amenities. In the parlor, visitors interact before the gorgeous fireplace. A full breakfast is served daily in the dining room. Afternoons, homemade cookies, fruit, and lemonade or tea refreshments are provided. The front porch gives a view of the garden and splashing fountain. In back of this bed and breakfast lies another garden and limestone patio with tables and chairs under shade trees. The Jackson House Inn has a year-round heated spa pool housed in the conservatory. Enclosed by antique, stained-glass windows originating from England, the conservatory is filled with lush, tropical plants. This bed and breakfast features six beautifully appointed guest rooms providing a retreat from busy, sightseeing or attending a conference.

These three unique and historically restored bed and breakfast inns will provide a one-of-a-kind visit to San Antonio.
