Metro Hotel New York - Hotel Metro: An Oasis In the Heart of Midtown Manhattan

complimentary guest district offers

What makes a great hotel? Comfort, room service and location. The Hotel Metro on 35th Street in Manhattan scores high on all three counts. Located just a stone’s throw from the Big Apple’s glamorous theater district, Fifth Avenue’s famous shops and the high-adrenalin bustle of midtown Manhattan’s business district, Hotel Metro offers its guests the kind of tranquility and pampering you might otherwise expect from a small, exclusive resort.

Hotel Metro features 179 guest rooms and suites (completely renovated in 2006) ranging from singles to deluxe suites and Executive Jacuzzi Rooms. In addition to comfortable beds and marble bathrooms with shower/tub combinations or stall showers featuring Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, Hotel Metro offers a wide range of amenities including complimentary WiFi Internet access, iHome clock radio with iPod docking station, cordless telephone with voicemail and a mini refrigerator.

Fitness facilities with all new commercial grade equipment and a beauty salon are on premises, and the Mezzanine houses a state of the art business center complete with printing capabilities, computer stations, and a small conference room. Complimentary continental breakfasts –including bagels, pastries, cereal, juices, fruit and coffee – are served each morning along with free copies of the New York Times; complimentary coffee and tea are available around the clock. On warm summer evenings, the best view of the Empire State Building in all of New York is to be found from Hotel Metro’s 14th-floor rooftop where you can also enjoy cocktails, appetizers and the occasional DJ show.

Room prices start at $210 (excluding tax) but you can find great deals online that will bring that amount down some. Check-in time is 4pm; checkout time is noon. Photo ID and either a credit card or a cash deposit ($150) against incidental charges is required at check in. Hotel Metro is upgrading selected guest rooms, a process that will continue through May 2010, but management will make every effort to minimize noise and disturbance.
