Walt Disney World Packages - What You Need to Know When Shopping for Walt Disney World Packages - How to Choose From the Variety of Walt Disney World Packages Available

plan stay you’re day

With so many Walt Disney World packages out there to choose from how do you know which one is really best for you and your family? After all, you want to make sure you’re getting everything you need at the best possible price but the sheer volume of package options can be truly overwhelming. How can you be sure you’re really getting the best package for your family? Here are some things to keep in mind.

There are pros and cons to buying Walt Disney World packages. There’s a lot to be said for one-stop shopping and the discounts you can get access to by purchasing a package deal. That being said, you want to make sure you’re not paying for things you don’t really want or need, like commemorative pins, all-inclusive dining plans or special character meals.

The best thing to do when shopping for Walt Disney World packages is to sit down and determine exactly what it is you need and what you want to do while you’re there. Do you need airfare? Do you want to stay on the resort or would you rather stay at a nearby lodging facility? In all honesty many people prefer to stay on the resort. Everything you need is right there and Walt Disney World provides its own in-resort transportation.

What about meals? Do you want meals included in your package? Walt Disney World packages offer a variety of meal plan add-ons, but you need to remember that your meal plan must be purchased for each day of your stay. You can’t stay for seven nights and only purchase the meal plan for five of them. If you don’t plan on eating at Walt Disney World each day of your stay then you should probably look at Walt Disney World packages without the meal plan. If, however, you do plan on eating all of your meals there then the meal plan can actually provide you with significant savings.

One of the most important features to consider when looking at the different Walt Disney World packages is theme park admissions. Do you plan on visiting more than one park a day? Then you probably want to look at Walt Disney World packages that offer Park Hopper passes. Otherwise you’re only going to be able to visit one park on any given day. If you also want to visit the water parks make sure it’s included in the Walt Disney World packages you are considering.

Last, but not least, when planning your Disney vacation consider staying for at least six nights. The savings can be quite substantial. There is often very little difference in the cost of the Walt Disney World packages that last four nights and the ones that last seven. Because of this, if you want the most for your money, a six day/seven night stay is probably your best bet.

While it is true that the variety of options and Walt Disney World packages can indeed be overwhelming, understanding your needs is the first and most important step in finding the package that’s right for you. One you know exactly what you want and what you expect from your package simply chose the one that fits you best.
