(CBS, 3/28/1975, 90 mins). A special police undercover unit composed of ex-cons chosen for their particular skills investigates the vicious syndicate beating of a star basketball player whose father vows to take vengeance if he catches the attackers first. This prospective series pilot cleverly adapted the plot hook of “The Dirty Dozen” and its many carbon copies, switching the characters to contemporary police work under a hard-nosed, no-nonsense leader.
