The Golden Gate Murders

paul david father bridge

(CBS, 10/3/1979, 120 mins). Gruff detective David Janssen reluctantly joins with nun Susannah York to prove that a priest’s fall from the Golden Gate Bridge was murder instead of the official verdict of suicide. This had all the look of a pilot to a prospective and somewhat offbeat series and has been shown theatrically overseas as “Specter on the Bridge.”
