(ABC, 1/16/1973, 90 mins). A monster-chasing reporter finds himself searching Seattle for a killer whose grisly record seems to stretch back more than a century, making an appearance every 21 years. This sequel to “The Night Stalker” (1971) led to the near-cult “Kolchak” series (1974-75) that had Darren McGavin trying week after week to convince Simon Oakland, his skeptical editor, of the most bizarre monster stories. Original title: “The Time Killer.”
