The Quest

producer morgan david luke

(NBC, 5/13/1976, 120 mins). Two brothers search the Western frontier for their sister who was taken away as a child and is living with Indians in this pilot for the short-lived series (1976-77) that is more than faintly reminiscent of the story line of John Ford’s “The Searchers” (1956). Adding some distinction to this movie are an offbeat horse/camel race and the performance of Brian Keith as a dissolute old-timer, a crippled ex-gunman on the run from just about every lawman in the West.
