The Six Million Dollar Man

(ABC, 3/7/1973, 90 mins). A test pilot, all but killed in a crash, is “remade” through the science of bionics into a superman superior to the flesh and blood man he had been. The popular series that followed (1973-78) had Lee Majors repeating his role, with Richard Anderson and Alan Oppenheimer taking over the parts created by Darren McGavin and Martin Balsam. Based on the 1972 novel “Cyborg” by Martin Caidin.
