DAVID, KEITH (1956–). Actor. He was born and raised in New York City and attended the High School of the Performing Arts. He continued his studies at Juilliard, and later received a Tony Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the Broadway musical Jelly’s Last Jam . His deep and distinguished voice has been lent to numerous voiceovers, cartoon characters, and commercial advertisements. His made-for-TV movie roles include Don King: Only in America , 1997, and The Tiger Woods Story , 1998. His major film roles include Platoon , 1986; The Quick and the Dead , 1994; Dead Presidents , 1995; and Barbershop , 2002.
