HAYSBERT, DENNIS (1955–). Actor. He was born in San Mateo , California , and began his acting career in the made forTV movies Code Red , 1981; Grambling’s White Tiger , 1981; and The Return of Marcus Welby, MD , 1984. He had a recurring role on the series Code Red , and Just the Ten of Us , and was a regular as president of the United States on the series 24 . He appeared in the TV miniseries Queen , 1993; Return to Lonesome Dove , 1993; and Empire , 2004.
