MORTON, JOE (1947–). Actor. Born in New York City, Morton made his Broadway debut in a production of Hair , and received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in Raisin . His big-screen break came with portraying the title role in director John Sayles’ The Brother from Another Planet , 1984. He has since stayed busy working in both television and film.
