WAYANS, DAMON (1960–). Comedian, actor, writer, producer. Born in New York City, he is part of a talented and very funny family of entertainers. Damon established his comedy and acting career on NBC’s popular comedy skit show Saturday Night Live . Film roles quickly followed with parts in Hollywood Shuffle , 1987; I’m Gonna Git You Sucka , 1988; and Earth Girls Are Easy , 1989. He returned to television in his brother Keenen Wayans ‘s comedy series In Living Color , 1990–92, wrote and produced his own series Damon , and starred in the ABC sitcom My Wife and Kids . On the big screen, Damon wrote and starred in the comedy romance Mo’ Money , 1992, the superhero spoof Blankman , 1994, and the military comedy Major Payne , 1995.
