Las Vegas Nv Travel - Las Vegas, NV Travel

What comes to mind when you think of Las Vegas, Nevada? If you are a typical American adult, you envision winning large quantities of cash in the city’s famous casinos, watching artsy lights flash 24/7, relaxing by the poolside, and essentially taking a break from the vicious grind of day-to-day work. What’s not to like about the city? Las Vegas travel offers gambling, excellent tours, sumptuous dining, and luxurious hotels. Since magnificence is occasionally equated with sin, it is no wonder that Las Vegas has been affectionately nicknamed “Sin City”.

It is virtually inevitable that if you travels to Las Vegas, you’ll visit a casino. Vegas casinos, like Bellagio, allow travelers to gamble to their hearts’ content. While gambling can be enjoyable, make sure you practice a good deal of self-control. Casinos in Las Vegas have carefully crafted a decor of elegance and excess that’s designed to keep gamblers in the casino. Most gambling floors don’t have clocks or windows, which make it difficult to remember what time it is. Make sure to wear a watch so you don’t inadvertently spend the whole day gambling!

Another Vegas cliche is the food. While Las Vegas was once famous for five-dollar lobster buffets, the Las Vegas of today offers some more upscale dining options. World-famous chefs, such as Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, and Wolfgang Puck all have signature restaurants on the Vegas strip. However, the Vegas tradition of buffets are still going strong, though most of them sport a modern update. Hotels such as Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Bellagio all have amazing buffets, some of which offer champagne brunches.

You will, of course, need a place to stay while you visit Vegas. A family-friendly option is Circus Circus, a hotel with a rollercoaster. For those looking for the ultimate luxury experience, Steve Wynn’s eponymous hotel-casino, Wynn, may be up to standard. And of course, there are classic icons of Vegas excess like Caesar’s Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian.

Most visitors to Las Vegas, however, find short day-trips to surrounding areas a nice distraction from the bright lights of Vegas. A favorite destination is the Grand Canyon. Numerous tour groups offer different experiences at the Grand Canyon, from burro rides down the canyon to helicopter rides above. Another great destination is the Hoover Dam. Guided tours are also available for the dam, and it’s often a very educational experience for the kids.

It’s no wonder that Las Vegas, NV travel has been consistently strong in the past years. No matter where you stay and play in Las Vegas, you’re sure to have a great time.
