Eureka California Hotels - A Review of Eureka, California Hotels

A hundred and fifty years ago Eureka was the most important city in the far north of California. Three hundred miles to the south, San Francisco was growing by leaps and bounds and it was the redwood forests of Humboldt County that provided most of its building materials. Eureka was the hub from which the timber was transported. Then gold was discovered in the nearby Trinity Alps. Suddenly, Eureka was over-run by loggers, fishermen, miners and the support industries necessary to maintain them in style.

Things have calmed down a bit since then. Today the quaint Victorian seaport is a perfect place for vacationers who want to enjoy the giant redwood forests, rugged beaches and other beauties of California’s Redwood Coast, and there are many attractive and convenient Eureka, California hotels in which to stay.

In your information about ABIGAIL'S ELEGANT VICTORIAN MANSION, two corrections need to be made to bring your information current. Firstly they have dropped serving Breakfast, and secondly, the have also dropped the room rates downward by $50 to compensate for the loss of the breakfast. All this to help travelers keep their travel costs down during the current economic meltdown.
