1. The Grand Hotel

2. Nicollet Island Inn

The Nicollet Island Inn has over a century of rich history behind its belt. Originally built as the Island Sash and Door, the building was also used as the location for several start-up milling companies, a Salvation Army men’s shelter, and finally, a luxury hotel. After forty years of service, the Nicollet Island Inn has been featured in a number of newspapers and magazines, including USA Today, the New York Times, Gourmet and Conde Nast Traveler. The Inn is home to Nic’s Lounge, a piano bar that hosts three talented local artists every Friday and Saturday night. Nicollet Island Inn’s award winning champagne brunch features a five course meal with delicacies such as Waldorf salad, corn-crusted trout and bouillabaisse.

3. Le Méridien Chambers

This downtown Minneapolis escape is conveniently located near Nicollet Mall, the Target Center and Hennepin’s Theater District. Le Méridien Chambers is practically an art museum, with its 200 unique works of art, many of which sprang from the Young British Artist movement. The contemporary design fits well with the artsy vibe of this hotel, as does the Ice Bar, which is made from six tons of ice and housed at Le Méridien Chambers every winter.
