Rio Casino Las Vegas - Fun and Adventure at the Rio in Las Vegas

features resort spa suite

Las Vegas has always been a popular vacation destination. It was once famous only for casinos and gambling, but in recent years, Las Vegas has become known for five star restaurants, great shopping and fabulous shows. More and more now view the city as a place to go for an all around vacation experience, and not just for the nightlife. Along with increased popularity, Las Vegas has become known for the hotels and resorts that line it. A vacationer now has several choices of where to stay, and that has made hotels competitive. Good deals and perks can be found with a little research and advance planning. One of the most popular hotels in Las Vegas is the Rio Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

The Rio, owned by Harrah’s, is located very near the Las Vegas strip. It offers free shuttle service to and from the strip so that guests can experience the lights and action of the strip if they want to. Very often, however, guests don’t even need to leave the hotel.

One of the most impressive features of the Rio Las Vegas Resort and Casino are the suites. Every room at the Rio is as suite, so each guest is staying in a 620 square feet suite with spectacular views of the city. Suites feature a separate dressing area, 32 inch television, in-suite refrigerator and a complimentary in-suite safe.
Following in the theme of the Rio Las Vegas Resort and Casino, the nightlife imitates the excitement of a night in Rio de Janeiro. Inside the resort, there are several bars and lounges including McFadden’s, Martorano’s, The VooDoo Lounge and Flirt. Each bar and restaurant offers its own unique style and atmosphere. For example, the VooDoo Lounge has seating inside or outside, and since it’s located on the 50th and 51st floors, the views of Las Vegas are stunning. Martorano’s has a flair that mimics south Philadelphia and south Florida all at once. This is a restaurant as well as a nightspot and Chef Steve Martorano has been known to mix music and videos as well as serve dinner to patrons.

For those with a sense of adventure, Vince Neil’s Ink is a tattoo parlor located inside the Rio. This parlor has four large stations along with one private booth. The walls are adorned with motorcycle and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia. There are leather couches and marble countertops. This tattoo shop is known for its artists, however, and they offer many of their own artwork as tattoos. For those that have a specific idea for a tattoo in mind, the artists will work with the customer and develop artwork especially for them.

Some Las Vegas visitors prefer to see a show rather than visit a bar or lounge. The Rio has entertainment for them as well. Comedy and magic team Penn & Teller perform nightly Saturday through Wednesday. This edgy show features everything from knives, guns, gorillas and even a showgirl. Women can also experience their own entertainment by watching the Chippendale dancers. They perform seven days a week and even have two shows on weekends. The lounges also feature live or dance music.

The spa is one of the most popular features at the Rio Las Vegas Resort and Casino. The spa is a calming and serene place to refresh the guest’s body and mind. The spa features many treatments that include massage, facials as well as salon services such as haircuts and color. Manicures, pedicures, waxing and makeup application are also additional features of the spa. The spa is open seven days a week and does take walk in clients, although calling ahead and making an appointment is recommended.

There are many more features and services that the Rio Las Vegas Resort and Casino offer. For example, the casino has more than 100,000 square feet of space and features modern slot machines and video poker machines. There are also over 80 table games that include blackjack, baccarat, craps and roulette. The casino floor is humming with action around the clock.

Suites at the Rio begin at $49.00 a night for a basic suite. The rates increase from there depending on amenities the guest requests. Reservations can be booked by phone or online at http://www.riolasvegas.com/casinos/rio/casino-gambling/index.html. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They pride themselves on good customer service and are willing to go the extra mile for guests.
