Fuji Finepix Digital Cameras are among the leading brands in both the United States and the world. They are well known for their innovative technology, including features such as high speed photography on consumer model cameras, facial recognition technology, and adjustable light modes on their cameras. The current models of Fujifilm digital cameras are the Fuji Finepix digital cameras.

In the United States market, Fujifilm offers five lines of digital cameras. The least expensive line of Fujifilm’s digital cameras is the A series. A series models retail for about $90 to $125 dollars. The current models have basic features such as 5X wide-angle optical zoom. The next step up from the A series is the J series digital camera. The price tag for this series ranges from $110 to $250. The lower end models of this series have few features that are not available in the A series. The top of the line model in the A series, the FinePix JZ500 has features like a 10X wide-angle optical zoom lens, SR AUTO scene recognition, and maximum shooting speeds of ISO 3200. When you get to the next series, the X series, only one model has been released to date: the FinePix XP10. This model retails for $180. This model features a 5x periscopic optical-zoom lens, high-sensitivity ISO1600, and is waterproof to 10 feet and freeze proof to 14 degrees.

The highest quality Fujifilm digital cameras are in the F series and S series. The F series digital cameras retail from $280 to $350. The most expensive and highest quality model in this series, the F200EXR FinePix, has a 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens and a low-light speed function (up to ISO 6400 at 6MP resolution and 12800 at 3MP resolution). The S series prices range anywhere from $200 to $1000. The FinePix HS10, which sells for about $500, has features like a high power 30X wide-angle optical zoom lens, 24mm to 720mm equivalent manual zoom, 1080p high definition movie recording with stereo sound, and a continuous-burst shooting at 10fps (10M) up to 8 frames. Although they are not currently in production, the S9000 series features professional level cameras that retail for about $1000. These cameras are still in high demand and can sometimes be found on sites like ebay for prices up to double the original retail price. These 9 mega-pixel cameras feature 10.7X optical zoom lens and shooting speeds up to ISO 1600.

While the Fuji Finepix digital cameras have for the most part been well received, some problems have been reported. Complaints about the cameras have included occasional chromatic aberration (discoloration around the edges of images), problems with the automatic settings that result in dull pictures or colors, and menus and manual controls that are not user friendly and can sometimes be confusing. Also, in earlier models, the expensive xD cards were unpopular among many and the lack of image stabilization sometimes resulted in blurry images.

In spite of these minor problems, some of which have been corrected, the Fuji Finepix digital cameras are typically reliable options for consumer photographers who want to capture family memories.
