Xerox Printer Toner - Tips for refilling your Xerox printer toner

Xerox is a large and multinational corporation that has become synonymous with the process of making quick and easy photocopies. However, Xerox is also well known for their diverse range of office supplies, most notably printers and toner. Many large and small businesses rely on Xerox photocopiers and printers each day to deliver the accurate and consistent results their customers expect. However, while Xerox does consistently deliver quality products to their business and enterprise clients, there are very few of those clients who like paying for hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of Xerox printer toner each year. It is a fact of business life that for as long as there have been printers, there have been toner cartridges costing an arm and a leg to keep those printers going, and Xerox printer toner is no exception.

Despite the prohibitive costs of purchasing massive amounts of toner cartridges each year, many large corporations put up with the financial burden associated with printing and photocopying to stay ahead of the competition; in essence, paying high prices for Xerox printer toner is considered to be a fact of business life. But it doesn’t have to be. If you own a large corporation, you may have passed on the idea of refilling your own toner cartridges by the use of third party refill kits because of the time and energy you would need to invest in such a process. However, if you are the owner of a small business or simply the owner of a home office, you may find it worth the investment in time and effort to learn to refill your Xerox printer toner, especially when you weigh the costs of purchasing a refill kit against the costs of purchasing yet another toner cartridge for your Xerox printer. This guide will provide some tips to keep in mind when next you decide to refill your printer toner instead of pay $30 to $50 for another cartridge that will run out in a few months.

One of the most important tips to keep in mind when refilling your Xerox printer toner is to shop around for the refill kits. There are a number of different places both online and in physical stores where you can obtain third party refill kits for less than you would pay to buy a brand new ink cartridge. Physical office stores like Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot, as well as more generalized stores such as Best Buy and Wal Mart commonly sell third party kits that you can use to refill your ink for less money than it costs to bring home more Xerox printer toner. And if you are willing to do your shopping online, you can purchase refill kits for even less money from a number of different retailers such as Mister Ink Jet, Re Inks, Printer Filling Station, and Rapid Refill.

Another important tip to keep in mind when refilling your Xerox printer toner is to make sure you find a third party refill kit that includes your specific printer in the list of printer ink cartridges the refill kit is specified to refill. Generally, if you have a Xerox printer that prints in black and white, you can expect most refill kits to be compatible with it, as they are likely to contain the same essential black printer toner that you will be able to use without issue. However, it never hurts to make sure. And if you have a color printer, you will definitely want to make sure you match your refill kit with the colors contained in your Xerox printer toner so your printer can continue to produce accurate colors whenever you use it.

A final important tip to keep in mind when refilling your Xerox printer toner is to try to do the job of filling the empty ink cartridge over a sink, a toilet, or a bath tub. If you have never refilled an empty ink cartridge before, you may not know that it can be a very messy job, and it is highly likely that you will spill at least a few drops of ink during the process, despite your best efforts. Put down several newspapers first.

Great read, always looking for extra ways to be more efficient around the office. I just wanted to share something I've been doing recently. I run an office and have noticed that unused toner was piling up in storage. Looked into returning but that was no good. Tried out the site http://www.tonerconnect.net/ and was impressed. They had quick service and that payout was nice.
