10. Frequently interrupting others or speaking out of turn.

11. Hard time listening to what is being said when others are talking.

12. Forgetting the necessary steps required to complete tasks or activities.

13. Engaging in dangerous activities without consideration of consequences.

14. Easily distracted by extraneous stimuli.

These are the fourteen attention deficit disorder symptoms as outlined by the American Psychiatric Association. It is important to remember that presenting just one or two of these symptoms does not mean a person has ADD. For a person to be diagnosed with ADD, eight of these fourteen attention deficit disorder symptoms must be present.
