New Brunswick, New Jersey is home to Rutgers University, and there are plenty of New Brunswick motels to accommodate visitors. The city also holds plenty of arts and cultural activities, so all that is left to figure out is what you want to do while in New Brunswick. That should make selecting a motel that is nearby very easy. Here is a quick rundown of some of the most popular motels in New Brunswick.

Rutgers University Continuing Studies Conference Center

Travelers looking for New Brunswick motels to stay in on a budget will certainly want to check out the Continuing Studies Conference Center at Rutgers University. The guest rooms at Rutgers are very basic, but they do feature good work spaces and high speed internet. Guests at Rutgers also have access to the recreation and fitness center. For $65 per night, you really cannot go wrong staying at Rutgers.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites

Another very basic motel in New Brunswick is the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel offers a business center, internet access, and a health and fitness center. There really is not much difference between the standard guest rooms and the suites at this hotel, but guests who have stayed there say the room was very clean and the staff was very hospitable. A night at the Holiday Inn Express will cost about $80 per night. Also this is probably one of the better New Brunswick motels because many of those with prices below this mark do not get good scores from guests.

Extended Stay America

One of the least expensive choices for guests who need to stay near Princeton University is the Extended Stay America. The rooms are very basic, and guests say there are no extras at this motel. However, for $85 per night in South Brunswick, this motel is a deal. Guests do say the motel is a bit run down, but they say it is not too bad for the money.

Howard Johnson

If all the other motels are booked up, then you might want to stay at the Howard Johnson. It is the only motel in the New Brunswick area that had extremely poor reviews. Guests say the rooms were dirty and the service was deplorable. These reviews are dated May 2010 and earlier, so unless something has drastically changed, it doesn’t sound like the Howard Johnson in New Brunswick is a very good choice. A room at the Howard Johnson in New Brunswick ranges from $54 to $65 per night.

Motel 6

People who are looking for a recognized name in New Brunswick motels should check out the Motel 6. It is very standard, and you get pretty much what you expect at a Motel 6. This motel is located in East Brunswick, so it is a bit further from some of the main attractions in New Brunswick, but you really cannot ask for more when only paying $55 per night.
