Kissimmee Florida Resorts - Find Vacation Paradise in Kissimmee Florida Resorts

hotel hotels suites villas

If you are headed to Florida, especially with children, chances are you are planning to visit Disney World Resort and other theme parks in the Orlando area. This has pretty much become a vacation paradise for U. S. and foreign tourists alike, and any other place in Florida would be hard-pressed to compete with the vacation magic that Disney and Universal have to offer. When planning your trip, one of the choices you need to make is where to stay while you are there. This all-important decision can greatly affect the quality of your vacation experience, so you want to be sure that you carefully consider your family’s needs and preferences before making your choice. Rest assured that Kissimmee Florida resorts are top-of-the-line and offer quality accommodations in every price range.

Kissimmee is conveniently located just south of Orlando on Highway 192. This runs into SR-535, the gateway to all the Disney attractions. Thus said, it is away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Orlando, yet convenient to many restaurants and fun attractions that your family will enjoy. Depending on which theme park you are visiting, driving time is usually within 15 minutes or less from most Kissimmee Florida resorts.

Generally speaking, hotel rates become cheaper the further away you get from the tourist action, or theme parks. If you are going to be staying more than a few nights, or have a large group, then you might want to consider a vacation home, villa rental, or a timeshare that will sleep more people than the average hotel room. Overall, there are literally tens of thousands of lodging opportunities in the Kissimmee Florida resort area.

Budget Hotels and Resorts (under $100 per night)

Some of the more economical places to stay really have a lot going for them. They are close to the theme parks, have inviting, natural environments (after all, this is Florida!) and get fairly good reviews on TripAdvisor and Hotels.com. Some even have kitchen and laundry facilities, although because some are actually timeshares, they may require a tour with no obligation to buy. The following provide good value for your money:

Fantasy World Club Villas
Comfort Suites Maingate East
Parkway International Resort
Barefoot’n in the Keys
Meridian Hotel
Quality Suites Royale Parc Suites
Super 8 Motel Kissimmee Suites
Golden Link Motel
Magic Tree Resort
Ramada Orlando Celebration Resort and Convention Center
Liki Tiki Village
Westgate Vacation Villas
Clarion Hotel Maingate

All of these hotels get a thumbs up, but Barefoot’n in the Keys ranked 10 out of 187 on TripAdvisor and seems particularly nice, cozy, and well-appointed for the price. It’s close to Old Town, has a lovely pool area, and is very clean and roomy. The Comfort Suites Maingate East, ranked 5 on TripAdvisor, gets high marks for comfortable beds, large rooms and good food at the pool bar. For a chain hotel, the service is attentive and more like what you would receive at a bed and breakfast.

Mid-Priced Hotels and Resorts (Approximately $100-$200 per night)

If you choose to stay at one of the mid-priced Kissimmee Florida resorts, you will probably have a room, or rooms that are a little larger, possibly with nicer furnishings. You may get more amenities for your money, especially if the resort is a timeshare. The grounds may be more extensive than those of your budget-priced hotels. Some good, mid-priced hotels that achieve consistently good reviews are:

Lucaya Village Resort
Diamond Polynesian Isles
Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club
Orbit One Vacation Villas
Caribe Cove Resort
Holiday Inn Express
Wyndham Cypress Resort
Orange Lake Resort
Hapimag Lake Berkley Resort
FL Hotel Maingate East
Radisson Resort Worldgate Kissimmee
Lake Marion Golf Resort
Silver Lake Resort

It’s fairly easy to find a good hotel in this price range, and three that are not on the list deserve to be mentioned for their unique qualities. The Cypress Cove Naturist Resort is for those looking for a nudist experience. This family-oriented resort has numerous amenities, top-notch service, and the freedom to clothe or not to clothe! The Gator Motel has a reputation for being a clean, family-run resort with a huge (pretend) gator in the parking lot as a side attraction. The Clarion Resort Waterpark is a great place for kids, and a winner for obvious reasons.

Higher-Priced Kissimmee Florida Resorts ($200+ per night)

These resorts have multiple amenities and more luxurious surroundings. There may be restaurants, coffee, and gift shops, and they are usually expensive. There may also be parking charges and/or valet parking. Many of these resorts have fitness rooms, salons, spas, golf courses, tennis courts, and other amenities for your pleasure. The service is usually superb. The following resorts fall into this category:

Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center
Reunion Resort (Wyndham)
Terra Verde

There are some other resorts in this category, such as the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, and the Animal Kingdom Villas, which are actually located in nearby towns. Also, if you are interested in booking villas with multiple bedrooms, the price may go up. The bottom line is that no matter what kind of accommodations you’re looking for, Kissimmee has them readily available. Kissimmee Florida resorts are among the finest in the country, and look forward to help in making your vacation a memorable one!
